Interstate Narco Smuggler held with 580 Kgs poppy straw at Rajbagh Kathua

In a major breakthrough against narco smuggling menace , Police Station Rajbagh jointly with SOG Jammu apprehended an inter-state narco smuggler with 580 Kilograms of Poppy Straw from his possession.

Police team of Police Station Rajbagh on a specific information intercepted one truck near PS Rajbagh at NHW bearing registration number PB13AR-3621 and recovered 580 Kilograms Poppy straw in illegal possession of accused namely Sikhwinder Singh S/o Swarn Singh R/o Sultanpur Lodhi Kapurthala Punjab.

Police Station Rajbagh registered a case FIR no 148/2019 u/s 8/15/29 NDPS Act and investigation set into motion.

4 Peddlers arrested by Jammu Police, heroin & intoxicative Tablets/Capsules recovered.

Continuing its drive against drugs, District Police Jammu arrested 4 peddlers during intervening night of July 27-28, 2019 and recovered heroin and intoxicative Tablets/Capsule

A police party from PP Digiana while on naka duty at Rani Talab, Digiana apprehended three persons, who were trying to evade Police in suspicious circumstances. They were identified as, Vishal Singh S/O Dhanater Singh R/O Preet Nagar, Digiana, Sadan Hussain S/O Ali Mohd R/O Bhadarwah and Gagan Singh S/O Faqir Singh R/O Preet Nagar Digiana. On search, 6 gm heroin like substance was recovered from their possession

In relation to this, case FIR No. 200/2019 U/S 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Gandhi Nagar and investigation initiated.

In another case, police team of P/S Bakshi Nagar led ASI Bhola Nath while on Naka duty at Maheshpura Chowk stopped one padestrian for checking, who was identified as Nihal Lokatra S/O Ramesh Lokatra R/O Qtr. No. 3, PNT Colony, Bakshi Nagar. On search, 110 intoxicative tablets and two capsules were recovered from his possession.

In relation to this, case FIR No. 129/2019 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Bakshi Nagar and investigation initiated.
